Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you not offering more classes?

Wilde Events was looking at what was out in the Northwest market when making our decisions. We wanted to offer a limited schedule only requiring 3 events attendance and not competing in a class make-up as other series in the region. So the decision was made for smaller events with entry into:
Nitro Buggy
E-Buggy
SPEC Nitro Buggy
SPEC E-Buggy
Nitro Truck
E-Truck
Sporstman E-Buggy

Additionally 2 mains: 40+ nitro and Junior Buggy (<18 years old) will be offered based on qualifying in the nitro class.
We understand this will mean less entries but we hope it allows racers to run and compare themselves agains the very best in the NW while maximizing runtime.

What is the $5 Winner Fund and Which Classes get Paid?

$5 from every non-SPEC class entry will go towards a payout fund. When the final number of entries per class are determined on Friday, we will roll a dice.
Each class will be assigned a number and the 2 classes with the highest entries will get a second number to take the place where a SPEC class would have been.
This money will be split over the podium of the chosen class 60%, 25%, 15% of funds aquired.

Why are entries so expensive? $65 is a lot of money?

We agree! $65 dollars is a lot of money and we strive to give you the best we can in quality and experience for that money. Why is it $65? Well take off $5 for the payout fund that goes back to racers and so it leaves us with about $60 per entry. For each event we figure about $6500-7500 in overhead expenses for the events we like to put on.

Why $7500, well WE start with Payment to the tracks to build up club accounts and build a track, RD or track announcer plus their travel/lodge (we are using our RD Justin Wilde to keep costs down but these start from 400-2500 a weekend before travel), Awards, per race graphics such as stickers/amain graphics etc…, then the costs that get split up between each event like series awards/podium banners, series banners etc…, weekend consumables/internet fees/scoring fees, and then finally the overhead fees for Wilde Events Team mebmbers Travel/lodging/payment. This allows us to continue to grow and make the series a slight black and not a red.

So we hope to get 150 entries to break even! Anything additional entries goes to a Wilde Events and 50/50 Track  split that we will use to buy more goodies, save for season ending awards or support events that get less than 150 entries.
